Local resident Kristi Van Ness is helping put Yorba Linda on the national culinary map! Van Ness recently took home top honors in a national recipe contest from Dream Dinners, Inc., the nation’s leading meal assembly chain. Out of hundreds of entries, Van Ness’ “Simmered Chinese Chicken and Jasmine Rice” recipe wowed the Dream Dinners judges to win the “chicken” category.

Van Ness’ recipe stood out for its savory flavor, giving a simple yet tasty twist to this classic Chinese food favorite. As a busy mom, Van Ness says she relies on Dream Dinners to help her put a nutritious meal on the table.

“We are always on the go, so I needed the help of a readily available, home cooked dinner for my family,” commented Van Ness, who has lived in Yorba Linda for two years. “Dream Dinners has allowed me to cook for my family on a regular basis no matter how busy I get.”
