Our Under-construction Christmas

Discover ‘True Hospitality’ and Never be Intimidated Again
What kind of friend are you: the one who hosts or the one who’s often the guest? Sometimes we let self-doubt, fears, intimidation, or an imperfect environment inhibit us from having people over. We can easily confuse the food and presentation with the art of hospitality.

When you’re a guest, what’s more important: Gourmet food or feeling welcome and included? A well decorated environment or feeling loved by your host who is so glad you came? You see, hospitality is how we make people feel when we have them in our home.

6-Steps to a Beautiful Appetizer Table

This isn’t a low cost solution; it’s a “no-cost” decorator idea that will make your presentation look like a magazine in 6-simple steps.  And believe it or not, you most likely have all the materials needed already inside and outside your home.

Step 1: Put a table cover over your buffet table.

Step 2: Place 3-boxes on the table, a short, medium and taller box, that are wide enough to hold a platter.

Step 3: Cover your boxes with a contrasting color of fabric. Could be drapery fabric, or scrap fabric.

Our dinners double as appetizers!  Easily transform our Sesame Glazed Meatballs, Bruschetta Chicken, Cheddar Filled Mini Meatloaves and Herb Crusted Flank Steak into great appetizers for any holiday gathering.

Sesame Glazed Meatballs – cook as directed and skewer each with a toothpick for a savory treat.

Bruschetta Chicken – these chicken breast tenders can be skewered for a deliciously easy appetizer.  Simply add water to bag of skewers; soak 20 min. to prevent from burning. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray baking pan with cooking spray. Remove chicken from marinade and slice each breast into 4 slices. Thread each slice onto skewer. Place on baking pan.

Thanksgiving Dinner Cooking Timeline Suggestions

We are so glad you bought the delicious Dream Dinners Holiday Turkey because you’re in for a treat! Just a reminder, if you’re planning to serve it on Thanksgiving day, place it and your Family Favorite Sides in the refrigerator to thaw 3-5 days before.

The best way to thaw a frozen turkey is in the unopened wrapper on a tray in the refrigerator. It takes 4 hours per pound to thaw a turkey (24 hours for every 5 pounds). Your Holiday Turkey may weigh between 6-8 pounds. Never thaw a turkey at room temperature. If short on time, you may thaw the turkey in cold water in the original wrapping, cover completely with cold water, making sure the water is changed every 30 minutes to keep the turkey surface cold.
