DIY Hot Cocoa Bar

Nothing says holiday cheer better than a warm mug of hot chocolate.

Choosing a hot chocolate recipe. There are endless options for choosing a hot chocolate recipe. We went ahead and tested this recipe out for you, and it’s DELICIOUS! Try cooking this in your crockpot or splitting the recipe into thirds and using a triple crockpot like this one to enjoy white, milk, and dark hot chocolate by switching out your chocolate chips.

Hot chocolate add-ins and toppings. Some of our favorite add-ins include caramel bites, peppermint candy canes, fun marshmallows like these, coconut flakes, cayenne powder, cinnamon powder, lavender buds, or Bailey’s Irish Cream for the grown-ups. To top it off, use sprinkles, chocolate or caramel drizzle, crushed peppermint, and homemade whipped cream. Yum!

  • Lavender White – Add ¼ tsp of lavender buds to a cup of white hot chocolate.
  • Aztec – Add ¼ tsp cinnamon and a tiny pinch of cayenne powder to a cup of dark hot chocolate.
  • Adults Only Irish – Add 2 oz of Baily’s Irish Cream to a cup of milk hot chocolate.
