Framingham Woman Whips Up a Winner in Dream Dinners National Recipe Contest

Sage Crusted Pork Chop Recipe Wins One of Four Top Prizes

Local resident Brenda Crawshaw is helping put Framingham on the national culinary map! Crawshaw recently took home top honors in a national recipe contest from Dream Dinners, Inc., the nation’s leading meal assembly chain. Out of hundreds of entries, Crawshaw’s “Sage Crusted Pork Chop” recipe wowed the Dream Dinners judges to win the “pork” category. In addition to receiving a $500 Dream Dinners gift certificate for her top dish, Crawshaw’s winning recipe will also appear on the March 2010 menu selection in all Dream Dinners stores across the United States.

Crawshaw’s recipe stood out for its fresh yet savory sage crust, giving an everyday pork chop a delectable twist. Staying true to her mother’s philosophy of always keeping the freezer stocked, Crawshaw notes she now does the same for her family.

“I am a fervent believer in the philosophy behind Dream Dinners,” said Crawshaw, who has lived in Framingham for 13 years. “Having something ready-to-go in the freezer, that is both nutritious and that I can get the whole family to eat, helps tremendously when I’m strapped for time.”

There are four Massachusetts Dream Dinners locations including the Framingham store Crawshaw frequents, which is located at 847 Edgell Road in Nobscot Plaza. Other Massachusetts locations include stores in Milford, Plainville and West Boylston.
