Riders Raising Awareness

Help us raise money and awareness for Prader-Willi syndrome research Cruiser bike riders gear up for 203 Miles of Heartfelt Fundraising! 10,000 cyclists will ride 203 miles in the STP (Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic). But in a couple of weeks, a team of 17 men and women will fly in from around the west coast and do something die-hard bicyclists wouldn’t dare – ride a heavy, single speed 42-pound old fashioned beach cruiser in the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic. Other riders used to laugh at them and call them “showoffs”. But now days, the team gets respect and encouragement, even a thumbs up from other cyclists who cheer their cause.Mike and Scott Kuna are the brothers who started the crazy fundraiser. They’re trying to raise money for Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare and complex genetic disorder that affects appetite, growth, metabolism and overall development. Some of the most severe cases leave patients living a difficult and challenging life. We’re hoping to help the team raise money and awareness before they pedal off from Seattle on July 17th.
