Thai Ginger Steaks with Sesame Sauce

These steaks are marinated in a flavorful mixture of tomatoes, garlic, ginger, zesty lime juice, and fresh green onions. Depending on your family's preferences, you can spice up the heat from mild to 5-alarm hot! This dish pairs perfectly with an Australian Shiraz.
Ingredients
- 6 steaks
- 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes (add more or less based on heat preferences)
- 1/2 Tbsp sesame seeds
- 1/8 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup fresh diced green onions
- 1 Tbsp ginger puree
- 1/2 Tbsp chopped garlic
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes in juice
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- 2 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 Tbsp sesame oil
Instructions
- Prepare your marinade at least 2-24 hours before cooking your meal. To make your marinade, combine all ingredients in a large Ziploc bag, add the steaks, and place in the fridge until it's time to cook the meal.
- Preheat the grill or broiler. Remove steaks from marinade (save marinade for next step) and grill on med-high for 2-5 minutes per side or to desired doneness.
- Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, bring the marinade/sesame sauce to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes.
- Serve the Thai ginger steaks with sesame sauce, Dream Dinners Asian vegetable quinoa, and an Australian Shiraz. Enjoy!
